One of the top ten questions I get before a customer buys or reads through my hot tub building information, and it should be, is what hot tub build experience do I need for this project? No one likes to take on a project they have little or no experience with and waste valuable time and money. I know I don’t and I wouldn’t expect you to either.
However, learning how do something new with great information, great instructions and someone you can rely on to step you through the things you’re not clear on or don’t fully understand completely changes the equation. You don’t have to be and expert, you only need to have expert help. If you teachable, I have no doubt that I can work with you and provide all the hot tub build experience you will need for your hot tub project.
This is my 17th year in business showing people from all walks of life how to build their own hot tubs, spas, swim spas and exercise pools. I’ve worked with people who have way more skills than I do, to people who don’t even know which end of a screw driver to use and just about everything in between. Regardless of their knowledge or experience the single most important trait they have had has been the willingness to follow directions. And doesn’t that just make sense?
What Hot tub Build Experience do you have?
It’s really not about your past or present experience at all, it’s all about following simple directions and trusting in a proven process. Sure you might come up with some of your own ideas, my customers do all the time. However, this is where you may get into trouble. I’ve seen and dealt with just about every type of problem you could have building your own hot tub. Something you might think of to be a great idea, could cause you headaches and cost you money.
It’s for this reason I encourage all my customers to let me work with them on their projects. I’m only trying to keep you from making mistakes that could cost you time and money. Now, that doesn’t mean to do things my way or it’s the highway. I simply encourage you to run your ideas by me so that I can help make sure you don’t create problems for yourself. There may be a reason we do or don’t do certain things certain ways, and I would want to make you aware of these things so you don’t create a problem that costs time and money to correct.
The flip side to this is that over the years some of my customers have come up with great ideas that have actually made things easier during the build process, Ideas I now incorporated in my spa building information. Then I’ve had customers try to re-invent the wheel so to speak and get themselves in a little trouble. No big deal, we’ve all done it, (myself included).
So the bottom line here is this. If you have some DIY experience great, you’ll love this type of project! If you have little to no experience don’t let that stop you.
